WHO IS EMINENT PULSE
Born out of the vibrant New York City nightlife, EMINENT PULSE brings diva Andromeda Turre and mega-producer Steven Shewbrooks together to create a new sound for the clubs. Their shared passion for Pop, Dance and good quality music shines through on EMINENT PULSE's debut album "In The Dark".
Andromeda started her professional singing career as a Jazz singer, debuting as a Raelette (background vocalist for Ray Charles). After much success from her self-produced album, she's been touring the world gathering fans internationally. She bares all with her stripped down lyrics of passionate nights, seduction, mistakes and hope for the future.
"I've been singing Jazz and I love it, but my fans have been waiting for me to do something bigger - MORE lights, MORE costumes, MORE dance routines, MORE diva! EMINENT PULSE is that chance - it gives me the opportunity to be a lot more intimate with the listener. It says, 'come sit with me in my dressing room as I put on my lashes and tell you about last night'."
Steven fell in love with synths and sequenced beats after discovering a Donna Summer record as a kid in the 90s. He was playing the piano at age seven and began messing with synthesizers soon after. He crafted this love into a music career with licensing from Abercrombie & Fitch, record label collaborations, dance and club radio stations, video games...it's been an exciting ride so far.
"I want EMINENT PULSE to have a sound that mixes songwriter with a bit of fantasy. The listener is taken on a trip of cosmic sounds and electronic drums all while staying grounded by the musicianship in every song. There isn't a keyboard part, bass note, chord progression recorded that isn't played by me personally. I love this quality of the music and that's one thing that won't change!"
